Introduction

Once upon an internet, some C&C Generals modding team became so enthraled with W3bbo's Pro:Gen Script that they decided to use it for their own mod

Lo and behold, however, that the script was buggy, slow to execute, and hard to set up

...Or how about I cut the sarco-patronisation and just say that this is an improvement upon the original Pro:Gen and TFTW scripts?

Requirements

You no longer need the original VBS script if you use this, this its replacement, so that in mind, you need:

  1. C&C - Generals Zero Hour
  2. ...Thats been either completely blitzkreig'd or a fresh installation
  3. A newly downloaded copy of TFTW, if not, it's obtainable here
  4. Windows Scripting Host 5.6 or above enabled... 'tis by default
  5. It helps to be running as an Administrator, I haven't tested this script out under "Limited" or any other user group/policy yet, nor do I plan to

Instructions

This is assuming that you have a fresh installation of Generals Zero Hour

  1. Download TFTW from here
  2. Extract the files somewhere... I usually dump them in a generic New Folder on my Desktop
  3. Copy or Move (yes, there is a difference, shock horror!) the files with the extension .ftw to your Gen ZH folder's root... as in where generals.exe is stored
  4. Put this VBS script anywhere
  5. Double click on it to run
  6. Note the lack of any "Open the file and go to line #27 to change strGenZHPath etc..."
